A New Way to Manage SAP Customer Master Records
Integration of SAP ERP customer master information with third-party software is difficult.
SAP offers no APIs (known as BAPIs in SAP) to create or change customer information in the standard system.
Integration with BAPIs is available, but only for companies that also own one of SAP’s commerce software solutions; e.g., hybris®.
Companies often try to use the commerce BAPIs, but SAP Support states that BAPIs which allow for the creation and change of customer master data are “intended exclusively for use in [commerce solutions].”
The only option SAP provides to manage customer master data is ALE or batch input; however, these options will result in reduced functionality…
The ALE or batch input solutions will put your customer master data at risk of not being complete, or requiring multiple updates because the following are not supported with ALE and batch input:

Customer Master Accelerator (CMA)
• Remote-enabled functions.
• Full access to all business address services.
• Multi-language support for text.
• Easy to map data to custom fields.
• Honors user-exits and BAdIs.
• Enhancement spot options.
